So you're friend has been possessed

The Exorcist’s Handbook

This book attempts to be a more practical guide then some of the other books I’ve been reading. Not only does it provide information on the types of things that get exorcised but also provides a list of tools to use and the steps to perform an exorcism. These include things like keeping the room clear of anything unnecessary, putting sigils on yourself and the victim as well as cleansing the room and what to use to cleanse it.

“in the names which are above every other name, and in the power of the almighty, and the mother and the holy spirits, I exorcise all all influences and seeds of evil from this room. I exorcise all demons, parasites, ghosts, curses, spells and bindings from this room. I exorcise all thought forms, magical spirits and bound angels from this room. I cast upon them the spell chains and I cast them into the outer darkness of the abyss where they shall trouble not these servants of god. Amen, Amen Selah

Thanks to this book I’ve now got a list of things to buy for my own toolkit should I need one which includes

  • Herbs/ Incense

  • Binding Cloth

  • Sigils

  • Salt

There is a section that jokingly mentions that the type of exorcisms that church does typically just bores the demon out of the host but also mentions the fun prospect of beating the demon out of someone with a crucifix attached to a baseball bat. Personally I like the idea of bribing the demon or convincing it to leave (possibly by providing a better host). I feel like this method would work on myself. Just implant the idea that a there are more powerful or more influential hosts than myself. Should I ever be possessed by a demon or something similar please try to talk it into possessing someone else.
